Veterinary Professionals

Mosaic Veterinary Partners is looking for veterinary professionals to provide exceptional patient care and client service in rural community practice. What do we offer? Bookkeeper/Payroll/Administrative Assistant

Mosaic Veterinary Partner is a young and growing company that manages rural veterinary practices in Alberta and Saskatchewan. As part of this growth, our need for support staff has increased and we are looking for the right person to be part of our team.
Part time (.5 FTE) to start with the potential of full time after appropriately demonstrating accuracy and comprehension of the duties. Company health benefits available if consistently working a minimum of 24 hours per week. $23/hour to start with the potential of an increase after successfully completing your 3-month probation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily monitoring and responding to financial emails
  • Daily data input using Quickbooks Online (QBO) and MS Excel
  • Managing open invoices and timely payments to vendors
  • Daily review, intercompany transactions and balancing across multiple companies.
  • Assisting with Payroll review and maintenance with the eventual goal of taking the lead on Payroll
  • Managing files electronically
  • Bi-weekly mail pickup and distribution (NW Calgary)

Skills:

  • Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Data entry with impeccable accuracy
  • DropBox File management
  • Bookkeeping for multiple inter-related companies
  • Excellent writing skills

Attributes:

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Work independently and remotely
  • Prioritize work and projects
  • Follow protocols and establish new ones as needed
  • High degree of proficiency in QBO, Payworks, Microsoft Office and Windows Explorer

Experience:

  • Accounting/bookkeeping
  • Quickbooks Online
  • Payroll administration
  • As an admin assistant with small business (or corporate)
  • Veterinary industry experience an asset

Education:

  • Accounting/Bookkeeping and Admin Assistant diploma or degree. Certificates accepted if relevant to skills.
